Golden Springbok
"Golden Springbok, Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei, Namibia" - In the hush of a late summer afternoon in Namibia’s Namib-Naukluft National Park, light begins its descent, painting the vast desert in hues of ochre and gold. It is here, among the dry grasses and sweeping gravel plains of Sossusvlei, that this lone springbok stands—a beacon of grace and quiet resilience. Framed by the commanding presence of a distant desert mountain, the creature grazes with purposeful calm, untroubled by the harshness that surrounds it. Captured in rich detail, this image becomes more than a wildlife portrait; it becomes a meditation on provision, pilgrimage, and divine encounter.
Exodus 3:1
Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
"Golden Springbok", this work draws deeply from the scriptural well of Exodus 3:1, echoing Moses' journey to Horeb—the mountain of God. Just as Moses wandered the wilderness with his flock, guided by unseen purpose, so too does this springbok evoke the same quiet obedience to place and calling. The golden light becomes symbolic of both sustenance and sanctity—reminding us that even in barren places, there is a holy presence, and every step taken in faith is seen and sustained.
The springbok, a symbol of Southern Africa’s wild spirit, is both native and mythic. In this composition, its slender form is rendered in luminous tones, its coat catching the sun like a living reflection of the desert’s soul. The mountain behind it, though not dominating, looms like Horeb itself—an emblem of solitude, revelation, and God’s proximity to those who journey earnestly through life's wilderness.
Shot with a long lens and intimate framing, this digital photograph invites collectors into a sacred stillness. Each element—the sun-kissed fur, the baked earth, the distant peaks—whispers of endurance, beauty, and divine presence. This is not just a springbok in the desert. This is a testament to the quiet miracle of life that thrives where many would expect nothing at all.
"Golden Springbok" is part of an evolving body of work exploring sacred encounters with wildlife across Africa’s vast and varied landscapes. Signed and embossed as an Open Edition print, it offers collectors a piece of the divine—inspired not just by wilderness, but by the wisdom and wonder waiting within it.

Every collection represents years of exploration, patience and careful craftsmanship. Some photographs are captured digitally, while others originate on traditional photographic film.

Collections are available as either Open Editions or Limited Editions, depending on the artwork.
The Triptych Collection Sizes

Triptych Size Guide
For Triptych Collection artworks, the selected size applies consistently across all three panels.
In compositions where the side panels are portrait and the centre panel is landscape, the selected size refers to the maximum height of the artwork. For example, when A3 is selected, the two portrait side panels are produced to the A3 long dimension, and the centre landscape panel is scaled proportionally to match that same height.
Where all three panels are landscape or all three are portrait, the selected format remains consistent throughout the set — A0 is A0, A1 is A1, A2 is A2 and A3 is A3. Sizes are not mixed between panels.
Available Triptych Collection sizes: A0, A1, A2 and A3.

Once the edition has sold out, no additional prints of that artwork will ever be produced.

Every Open and Limited Edition print is individually signed, embossed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Each Limited Edition print is hand-numbered—for example: 10/25
This indicates the tenth print produced from a total edition of twenty-five.
