The Story Behind CFP Prints
Uncover the vision that shapes CFP Prints—from the symbolism of our logo to the creative philosophy of Craig, the artist behind the lens. Rooted in craftsmanship, authenticity, and reverence for the African landscape, our ethos is simple: to create fine art that speaks to the soul and endures through time.
Our About
The Logo
Logo Meaning
The number four derives its Biblical meaning from creation. On the fourth day of what is called ‘creation week’ God completed the material universe. On this day He brought into existence our sun, the moon, and all the stars (Genesis 1:14 – 19). Their purpose was not only to give off light but also to divide the day from the night on Earth, thus becoming a basic demarcation of time. They were also made to be a type of signal that would mark off the days, years and seasons of which there are four.
This perfect number symbolizes many powerful and transformative qualities, including strength, resilience, a symbol of stability, and grounding.
Symbolically, the number four represents self-expression, self-fulfillment, maturity, and mental stability. The four mountains in the logo landscapes reflect this symbolism. Inspired by the Audenberg Peaks in Worcester, where Craig lives, they not only anchor the design but ground it in a very real place — a landscape of strength and permanence that shapes his creative vision. Additionally, the iris is a well-known symbol for photography and by merging the two, expresses what Craig does, where he comes from and what he stands for.
The Photographer
The Photographer
Photography is one of Craig’s main passions in life, and he is delighted to have begun with a good foundation in the era of film photography in 1998.
Proverbs 18:16
‘A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.’
This photographer is a true master of his craft, with a particular passion for capturing the beauty of landscapes. But his skills don’t stop there – he is also versatile and talented in other genres of photography.
His work has earned him recognition and admiration, with several South African newspapers, and magazines featuring his stunning imagery on their covers. He has also been a top ten finalist in the Getaway Magazine Gallery Competition. Even local news broadcaster eNCA has taken notice, using some of his video footage in their programming. When it comes to capturing the essence of a scene, this photographer is a true artist.
The Company
CFP Prints is the curated expression of Craig Fouché Photography—a body of work captured through an array of analogue and digital cameras, including medium format systems, 1920s-inspired large format field cameras, and custom-built pinhole configurations. Each image reflects a deliberate, process-driven approach to photography—rooted in patience, craft, and a deep respect for the medium.
This platform serves as a dedicated space for private collectors, art connoisseurs, design professionals, businesses, and hospitality spaces to acquire fine art prints and bespoke wallpaper installations that celebrate contemporary African visual art.
Beyond their aesthetic presence, these works are also conceived as enduring investments. Each piece is offered either in open or limited editions and is accompanied by a signed and embossed Certificate of Authenticity, affirming its provenance, originality, and lasting value within any discerning collection.
CFP Prints is equally committed to making fine art photography
accessible to a new generation of collectors. By reimagining the experience of collecting through digital platforms, we aim to foster a deeper appreciation for contemporary African visual storytelling—where ownership is not only a personal joy, but also a meaningful act of support.
A portion of each sale directly contributes to carefully selected conservation and community initiatives, including The Cape Leopard Trust—with a particular focus on its Boland Project in South Africa. Through this partnership, collectors can take pride in knowing that their investment extends beyond the frame, supporting the preservation of endangered ecosystems and species.
The online galleries are curated by theme and location, allowing collectors to discover and pair complementary works that lend cohesion to interior spaces—whether you’re building a thoughtful salon wall, designing a single focal point, or curating an entire room. Each selection is intended to inspire both aesthetic harmony and narrative depth within your space.
