Glorious In Green

“Glorious in Green, Ebb & Flow, Garden Route National Park, South Africa” - Bathed in dappled light beneath the dense canopy of Ebb & Flow in the Garden Route National Park, a fleeting flash of emerald and crimson broke the silence. There, hidden among the ancient trees, the elusive Knysna turaco emerged—its radiant green plumage perfectly camouflaged, yet wholly majestic in the moment of reveal. With patience and reverence, I captured the bird as it stepped from shadow to light—its call a clear kok-kok-kok, echoing the wild rhythm of the forest.

Psalms 104:12

By them the birds of the heavens have their home;
They sing among the branches.

“Glorious in Green” is a celebration of unexpected grace—of life hidden in lush branches and songs that seem to arise from the leaves themselves. The turaco, native to the evergreen forests of South Africa’s southern coast, is both a guardian and a jewel of the forest. Its bold crest, fiery eye-ring, and surprise of crimson wings in flight offer a visual symphony found nowhere else on earth.

Inspired by Psalms 104:12: "By them the birds of the heavens have their home; they sing among the branches,"
this work draws the viewer into the sacred harmony between creature and canopy. The verse resonates through the bird’s perch, as though nature itself were the stage upon which divine melody is played.

Known also as the Knysna loerie, this striking bird often evades detection, its movements discreet, its beauty reserved for the patient observer. Yet when it does appear, it transforms the landscape. In this composition, its green-on-green silhouette becomes a moment of awe—a reminder of how the forest hides its most exquisite treasures until the exact right time.

Photographed in the wilds of George, South Africa, “Glorious in Green” is part of a fine art series devoted to the rich avian life of the continent. It is not merely a portrait of a bird; it is a quiet reflection on presence, place, and the sublime orchestration of nature.

This is a signed and embossed Open Edition print, suitable for collectors who value not only beauty, but the depth of spirit behind each piece. For lovers of African imagery, this print offers a glimpse into the continent’s living cathedral—its evergreen forest—where birds, like prayers, rise with the dawn.

This is a signed and embossed Open Edition print.

Every collection represents years of exploration, patience and careful craftsmanship. Some photographs are captured digitally, while others originate on traditional photographic film.

Film photographs are developed by hand before being scanned using professional equipment. Digital RAW files receive only careful tonal and colour refinement, preserving the integrity of the original photograph.

Collections are available as either Open Editions or Limited Editions, depending on the artwork.

The Triptych Collection Sizes

Triptych Size Guide

For Triptych Collection artworks, the selected size applies consistently across all three panels.

In compositions where the side panels are portrait and the centre panel is landscape, the selected size refers to the maximum height of the artwork. For example, when A3 is selected, the two portrait side panels are produced to the A3 long dimension, and the centre landscape panel is scaled proportionally to match that same height.

Where all three panels are landscape or all three are portrait, the selected format remains consistent throughout the set — A0 is A0, A1 is A1, A2 is A2 and A3 is A3. Sizes are not mixed between panels.

Available Triptych Collection sizes: A0, A1, A2 and A3.

Limited Editions

Limited Editions are permanently restricted to 25 prints worldwide, regardless of the size or medium selected.

Once the edition has sold out, no additional prints of that artwork will ever be produced.

Signing & Numbering

Every Limited Edition print is individually signed, embossed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Each print is hand-numbered—for example: 10/25

This indicates the tenth print produced from a total edition of twenty-five.

Many CFP Prints artworks begin with traditional photographic film.

Each negative or transparency is developed by hand using carefully selected chemistry before being professionally scanned for printing. Every stage of the workflow is managed with the objective of faithfully reproducing the original photograph rather than digitally transforming it.

Every photograph represents a real moment, captured through experience, patience and light—not artificial intelligence.
